Romantic young Maureen Matthews has always dreamt of a life beyond working in the Potteries factory. Then, just like a scene from one of her beloved films, she meets handsome, charming Trevor Mountford. He seems to be everything Maureen ever fantasised about and so when he proposes to her, it seems all her wishes are coming true.
